Sarah Spaulding
I am interested in biology, taxonomy, ecology, paleoecology, systematics, assessment, biogeography, and well, about everything connected to diatoms. My research is directed toward understanding diatom biology and the ecological roles of diatoms on the planet. I am driven to collaborate with people who know things that I don't and are interested in putting our minds together. I am passionate about sharing diatom lore with scientists, students, and the public. I currently serve to manage the collaborative, electronic, peer-reviewed diatoms.org project.
