Sidney Ashby

Sidney is a senior undergraduate student at Gonzaga University with a B.S. in Environmental Science, specializing in freshwater ecology research. Working under Dr. Betsy A. Bancroft, Sidney is investigating the effects of elevated and extreme temperatures on zooplankton assemblages. Sidney is skilled in field data collection, experimental design, and statistical analyses. She has also worked with avifauna at the University of Auckland in New Zealand under Dr. Kristal Cain and plans to pursue a PhD in freshwater ecology. This project was supported by the National Science Foundation's Understanding the Rules of Life grant, as well as Gonzaga's Center for Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry.
